🛹 Hoverboard – Quality Control (QC) Guidelines
Follow the steps below to inspect hoverboards for damage, function, and packaging quality before approving for shipment or storage:
🔍 1. Physical Inspection
- Inspect the hoverboard for signs of damage, cracks, or heavy wear.
- Check the charging port: plug in the charger and verify the port is firm and does not wiggle or feel loose.
- Ensure the box is clean and intact. Excessively damaged or smashed packaging will result in the item being liquidated.
⚙️ 2. Power & Movement Test
- Place the hoverboard flat on a table or stable surface.
- Turn the power on and use your hands to gently tilt or press on each side to test the movement response.
- If the hoverboard acts erratically or moves incorrectly, proceed to Step 3 for recalibration.
🔄 3. Recalibration
- Turn off the hoverboard completely.
- With the hoverboard off, press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
- The hoverboard will beep when calibration is complete.
- Turn the device off again, then retry the movement test from Step 2.
🔌 4. Charging Test
- If the hoverboard does not power on, plug it into the charger.
-
Check the charger's indicator light:
- Green Light (stays green): Item is not charging – mark for liquidation.
- Red Light: Item is charging – wait 5 minutes and attempt to power on and retest.
- If the item powers on and functions properly, ensure the charger is included in the package.
📦 5. Final Prep
- Ensure the charger is included and properly packed.
- Remove any retail or return stickers using a heat gun.
- Securely tape the box closed and prepare for shelving or shipping.
⚠️ Items that fail to power on, do not charge, or have damaged ports or packaging should be flagged for liquidation.
