🍬 Candy Fill-a-Box Instructions
1. These boxes are designed for auction and must be packed with thermal protection for shipping.
2. Only include clean, retail-ready candy — no melted, damaged, or expired items.
3. Use thermal insulation in a plus-shaped layout to guard against heat exposure.
4. Themed boxes must contain only candy.
5. Seal the box securely and label for auction staff.
Use this checklist to ensure candy stays protected, neat, and insulated.
📦 1. Prepare the Area
- Clean packing surface and sanitize hands or wear gloves
- Gather all supplies:
- Assorted retail-ready candy
- 1 short thermal strip (horizontal base)
- 1 long thermal strip (vertical drape/cover)
- Shipping box
- Label (include date & box type)
➕ 2. Line with Thermal Material (Plus Shape)
- Lay the short strip flat across the bottom of the box (side-to-side).
- Place the longer strip over it, centered front-to-back, forming a "+" shape.
- The long strip should drape evenly over the front and back sides of the box — this will fold over later.
🍭 3. Add Candy
- Place candy neatly on top of the thermal cross.
- Group similar items for appearance and balance.
- Ensure nothing is sticking above the top edge of the box.
🧣 4. Wrap the Thermal Cover
- Fold the long thermal strip ends inward, completely covering the candy.
- Make sure all candy is sealed under the thermal layer for protection against heat and moisture.
- The bottom strip should remain flat and undisturbed underneath.
📤 5. Finalize and Seal
- Close and tape the box carefully — do not compress contents.
- Apply a clear label:
- Date
- "Candy Box – Thermal Protected"
