🛒 Voltage Bins – Employee Procedures & Job Duties
☀️ Daily Opening Procedures (Arrive 30 Minutes Early)
1. Arrival
- Clock in 30 minutes before opening.
- Be in uniform and ready to work.
2. Store Setup
- Turn on all lights.
- Power on all TVs and ensure pricing is correctly displayed.
- Verify music system is on and volume is appropriate.
- Ensure POS and Square systems are logged in and ready.
- Prepare the till with the correct starting cash amount.
- Clean and organize all bins so they are ready for customers.
👥 Roles & Responsibilities
POS / Front Register Role
- Remain at the POS station during your shift unless relieved.
- Process all transactions quickly and accurately.
- Give out tickets for the daily giveaway.
- Watch the door area and monitor for potential theft.
- Maintain awareness of the sales floor while ringing up customers.
- Politely enforce store policies.
Bin Store Helper Role
- Cover the register when the POS employee takes breaks.
- Assist with maintaining bin cleanliness and organization.
- Clean bins of trash, tape, and damaged boxes.
- Remove damaged or unsafe items from the sales floor.
- Tape up ripped boxes when possible.
- Help restock and rearrange items in bins when needed.
🕒 During Store Hours
- Greet customers and offer assistance.
- Monitor for theft and unsafe behavior.
- Keep bins neat, organized, and fully stocked.
- Maintain a clean work area and walkways free of hazards.
🌙 Closing Procedures
1. Till & Bank
- If assigned to count the till, follow the Till Count Sheet.
- Follow the Backup Bank Process exactly as trained.
2. Cleaning & Reset
- Clean the box opening station completely.
- Empty trash from bins.
- Sweep and mop the floor as needed.
- Return bins to a neat and organized state.
3. Shutdown
- Turn off TVs, music, and lights.
- Log out of all POS and Square systems.
- Lock doors and set alarms before leaving.

- Be on time and ready to work.
- Follow all store policies and safety rules.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude toward customers and coworkers.
- Report any theft, damage, or incidents to management immediately.
- Work as a team to ensure smooth store operations.
